Dimensions of Expansion and Outreach

13,273,500 square feet.

Add to that another amount, 250 percent.

While the Church of Scientology’s impact on society cannot be gauged by a measuring stick, its physical footprint can be. The premises of Scientology Churches, administrative offices and Church-supported centers for humanitarian programs have now reached the first number. And it, indeed, represents a 250-percent jump over just one decade ago.

At that time, the Church engaged a many-faceted program to establish new Churches and Church-sponsored centers around the world—facilities capable of extending all religious services and humanitarian programs on a scale to not only meet, but to overtake, the mounting crises of society.

A bold and ambitious undertaking—perceived as even quixotic by some—the program has nonetheless been a continuing success story as the religion’s growth accelerates year after year.

The principle Churches worldwide—145 organizations which serve as the senior Churches for their respective areas—alone delivered more than 2.4 million hours of auditing throughout the year, representing a 170 percent increase.

“Scientologists seek to help people whose faces they’ve never seen, whose eyes they may never look into and whose names they will never know.”

Every day 68,570 people found out the truth about drugs

through the global campaign sponsored by the Church of Scientology—The Truth About Drugs, the largest nongovernmental drug education program in the world. The campaign’s audiovisual and printed materials, largely written and presented by former users and addicts, empower youth to make their own informed decisions about drugs.

“We are very grateful for the resources and support provided by the Foundation for a Drug-Free World; and we encourage other youth programs to also use these effective materials. We’d also like to thank the Church of Scientology for providing the Foundation with the support necessary to create and distribute these materials.”
